Why we are all in business and why we need to grow.

Take a moment to think about this: Why are you in business? Why are you working for yourself? Why is it essential for you to continually grow? Think back to the day you decided “I’m going to start my own business. I want to be my own boss and take back control of my life.” That feeling of excitement, and all the emotions when it all started to come together. Your first day, week and month were exciting, busy and nerve-racking, but you enjoyed every moment of it.

Then, suddenly, you realise that not working for another boss is fun, for a while. But then reality catches up with you: “How will I get new clients? How will I grow my business? Will I be successful?”.

“Getting new qualified leads is the key to growing your business”.

The fact that you took the leap and started your own business is a huge step. Taking control of your own time is something we all crave. But being your own boss is not easy. You are now responsible for all of the work, not just a part. How do you do it? Where do you begin? On what do you focus? Questions I asked myself every time I started a new venture.

There is only one thing that will ensure success and the growth of your company. Only one thing will keep you motivated to continue being your own boss. Only one thing will inspire you to grow your business, expand, employ more staff, and become the entrepreneur you wanted to be from the start.

That one thing? New clients. Everyday!

Whether you have just started your business, or if you have been in business for years, everyone needs new clients.

It is challenging to start generating enough income for your business to grow. Getting new clients (and good quality clients) is a challenging task. So how do you grow your business? With this article series, I will explore this from my point of view. So let’s get started: The first step is to generate income.

“If you try to sell to everyone, you will sell to no one!”

Analyse your product or service that you offer to your prospects. Determine who your ideal customer will be and identify how you can get their attention. You need to target a specific type of person for your solution that you offer. If you try to sell to everyone, you will sell to no one!

Now that you know who your ideal client will be, you need to implement effective marketing solutions to start generating more hot leads.

The next step might be one of the most important ones: create a strategy to now effectively convert those leads into paying customers, that will return to you month after month and year after year. The challenging part from here on is the fact that you are now getting more clients but cannot handle or process them all. Employing the right people for the right tasks, and getting all the relevant systems in place is now your next step. Get experts in their fields to start running your business.
And that is the moment you will begin to free up your time to do what you need to do as a company owner: You need to work ON your business, not IN your business. The key is not to have all the knowledge, but to delegate to the right people that do.

“You need to work ON your business, not IN your business”.

Now getting back to why we do what we do…
Everyone is chasing their dreams and giving their best to succeed in life. Without growing your income, you might never make it to your dreams.
Work on ways to grow your business and the freedom we chase will follow.

So to summarise: You need to spend your time growing your business with strategies, and the right team. Get new leads and new sales as soon as possible to generate income. Start planning on how to scale your business into a growth pattern.
